Janet and Simon were moving into a new house and their brief was to completely change the look and feel of the existing kitchen. Janet wanted to have a sense of connectivity to the dining/living space and the existing kitchen had a low level wall around the island which divided the kitchen from the living area. Simon and Janet like to host family and friends for dinner and social occasions on a regular basis and whilst cooking still wish to be part of the ‘party’. ‘Light and White’ was the brief giving a sense of freshness and sparkle …. The bespoke doors were designed and fabricated in Corian and complimented with Neolith work surfaces. Storage was created by specifying large drawer units in the island and ventilation was built into the ceiling box which added visual impact as well as light.
